The report compared data from Q1 2025 with the same period in 2024, confirming that Reading maintains a healthy night-time economy. While there was a slight overall drop in visits year-on-year, Friday and Saturday nights remained the busiest, showcasing the town’s appeal for evening and late-night activities.

Catchment maps illustrated that night-time visitors come from across the region, highlighting Reading’s draw as a destination for evening entertainment. Whether arriving for early evening dining or late-night clubbing, the data proves that people are willing to travel significant distances to experience what the town has to offer.
3 – Supporting Local Stakeholders
The insights are invaluable for:
- Businesses: Venues can track the health of the night-time economy and adjust offerings accordingly.
- Emergency Services: Police, paramedics, and Street Pastors can anticipate visitor numbers and allocate resources effectively.
